EnlightenAI grades your whole class against your rubric — but it works best when you train it first. The flow is simple: calibrate the AI by grading a few yourself, let it grade the rest, then review and approve each one before students see it. You stay in control; the AI just does the heavy lifting.
At a glance: Open the assignment → Start grading → grade a few to calibrate the AI → AI grade remaining → review & Approve and Next → done.
Step 1. Open the assignment and start grading
When students have submitted, open the assignment. You'll see your class and your rubric, with scores still empty. Click Start grading to open the grading view.
Step 2. Calibrate the AI first
Start by grading a few students yourself — set the rubric scores and write feedback. EnlightenAI learns from these to match your standards (notice AI is currently 0% trained). The more you model, the better the AI grades the rest.
Step 3. Let AI grade the rest
Once you've trained it on a few, click AI grade remaining. EnlightenAI scores every remaining student against your rubric and drafts feedback the way you would — the whole class in one click.
Step 4. Review and approve each student
The AI's grades are drafts. Open each student to check the rubric scores and feedback, adjust anything that's off, then click Approve and Next. Nothing reaches students until you approve it.
Step 5. Your class is graded
Once every student is approved, the whole class has scores on each rubric criterion and feedback ready to release. You did a fraction of the work and every student got detailed, consistent feedback.
