Why does my AI feedback look incomplete?

If EnlightenAI feedback is missing a section like the growth area or score, the AI response was interrupted. Click Regenerate to get a full result.

If your AI feedback is missing a section, such as the growth area or the score, the AI response was most likely interrupted while it was still streaming in. EnlightenAI does not save a half-finished response, so the fix is simple: click Regenerate to produce a complete result.

What causes incomplete feedback?

EnlightenAI feedback streams in piece by piece — the comprehensive feedback first, then the strengths, the growth area, and the score. If that stream is cut off before it finishes (for example, a momentary connection drop), the later sections may not arrive. When that happens, the missing sections show up blank or cut short, even though the earlier parts look fine.

Will a partial response be saved?

No. EnlightenAI only finalizes and saves a grading once the full AI response completes. An interrupted stream is not committed as a finished grading, so you will not lose good feedback by regenerating — there is nothing partial worth keeping.

How do I fix it?

Open the grading and click Regenerate. This sends the request again and streams a fresh, complete response in place of the incomplete one.

  • Open the student's grading in the review screen.

  • Click the Regenerate button.

  • Wait for the response to finish streaming before editing or finishing grading.

If feedback still comes back incomplete after a couple of tries, it may point to a connection issue on the network rather than the assignment itself.
