To give students another attempt on an Immediate Feedback assignment, open the assignment and click Set Feedback Round, then raise the number of attempts. This applies to everyone in the assignment at once.
Where do I find Set Feedback Round?
Open the Immediate Feedback assignment from your dashboard. On the assignment page you'll see the Set Feedback Round button, with the current attempt count shown next to it. Click it to open the dialog where you choose how many revision opportunities students get.
How many attempts can students have?
Immediate Feedback supports up to 8 attempts. In the dialog, pick the new number from the dropdown and click Update. Every student in the assignment gets the new total, and anyone who had already used all of their attempts is reopened so they can revise and resubmit.
Can I lower the number of attempts?
No. You can only increase the attempt count, never decrease it. The dropdown starts at the assignment's current number and goes up to 8, so the lowest option you'll see is the count students already have. If you set up too many attempts by mistake, you can't roll it back from here.
Does adding an attempt use my submissions?
Yes. Each attempt counts against your submission quota, per student. When you raise the number, EnlightenAI shows how many submissions the change will require. If you don't have enough left this month, you'll see a "You may run out of submissions" warning and the update will be blocked until you have quota.
