Nothing is lost at the end of the school year. Your classes, assignments, student work, and AI feedback all stay in EnlightenAI. When you're ready for a new year, you simply archive last year's classes and create fresh ones.
Is any of my data deleted when the year ends?
No. EnlightenAI does not delete your classes or anything inside them at year-end. Archiving a class hides it from your main dashboard but keeps all of its assignments, submissions, rubrics, and graded feedback intact. You can revisit or restore it at any time.
How do I clean up my dashboard for a new year?
The recommended approach is to archive classes you're done with and create new ones for the new year.
Archive a class from your dashboard to move it out of your active list. It's stored safely, not removed.
Unarchive any class later if you need it back. It returns to your active classes exactly as you left it.
Create new classes for your new students and share the new class code so they can join.
What happens with my Clever classes?
If your classes come from Clever, you don't need to rebuild them by hand. Clever rosters new sections automatically when your district sets up the new school year, and EnlightenAI syncs those new sections in for you. Your previous Clever classes remain on your account and can be archived like any other class.
