In the Teacher console, the left sidebar holds your main areas: Home, Assignments, Rubrics, and AI Documents. Plans and Admin mode are reached from the menu in the top-right corner, not the sidebar.
What's in the left sidebar?
The left sidebar in the Teacher console is your main navigation. From top to bottom you'll find:
Home — your courses and a dashboard view of recent activity.
Assignments — your assignment workspace, where you create and grade work.
Rubrics — create, edit, and reuse rubrics across assignments.
AI Documents — AI tools for building documents, exemplars, and worksheets. This area is marked Beta.
The sidebar can be collapsed using the toggle next to the EnlightenAI logo to give yourself more room.
Where do I find Plans and my submission usage?
Your plan details appear in a banner near the bottom of the left sidebar — for example, days remaining on a free trial, your school license, or graded submissions used. Use the Explore plans or Extend for free buttons there to open the Plans page.
How do I switch to Admin mode?
Open the profile menu by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner. If your account has admin access, you'll see an Admin mode option that takes you to the Admin Console. From inside Admin mode, the same top-right menu has a Teacher mode link to switch back.
If you don't see Admin mode, your account isn't set up with admin permissions — that's expected for most teacher accounts.
Where are Integrations and Resources?
At the top of the Teacher console you'll find Integrations (such as Google Classroom) and Resources (video tutorials, PD resources, the Help Center, and more), each in its own dropdown.
