Step One: Go back to the completed assignment. You should see a set of students without submissions at the bottom of the list. This will be your set of students who didn't submit before you graded:

Step Two: Click the "add" button next to the row of the student for whom you want to add work. That button is on the far right side of the page. You'll be taken to a page that looks like this:

From here, you can click "Paste Submission" or "Upload Docx / HTML" to decide how you want to retrieve that work. This article will show the copy and paste process, but they are very similar. You'll be able to upload the documents and then drag and drop them to the right student in a process that looks like this:

Step Three: For copying and pasting, select the student from the drop-down for whom you want to add work:

Step Four: Copy and paste the student work into the model window:

Step Five: Once you're done pasting or uploading documents, click "Save" in the bottom-right to confirm your work, and you'll go back to the main grading screen. From there, you can click the "Resume Grading" button:

Step Six: Complete the grading process just like you normally would! Now you'll have student work to send to the student(s) who submitted late. It's important at this stage to only send feedback to the student individually; otherwise, you might either print a very large whole-class PDF or send every student duplicate feedback via Google Classroom.

To send feedback individually, you'll see the "Send" button in that student row is blue instead of the Green that the rest of the column will show:

Step Seven: Click the blue Send button, and then you can individually send this feedback in the manner of your choosing.

If this didn't get you the help you need, feel free to send us an email at [email protected] or send us a support message, and we'll get back to you ASAP!
