We’re very excited to share a new and exciting update in EnlightenAI - you can now share assignments that you have created! Sharing is caring, folks!

We're excited to see how this can change the way that teachers collaborate in the platform, enabling teams of teachers, instructional coaches, and curriculum leaders to build entire shared libraries of assignments and grading resources. The implications of how this can change grading and feedback for entire schools is going to be massive.

But before we create this exciting future, we need to start by making sure you know how to use these tools! Here is a quick overview for you:

If you have assignments that are being imported from Google Classroom, you can just click into the classroom and then edit that assignment. If you’re creating the assignment in EnlightenAI, you can go to the right-side menu to create a new assignment:

Once you’re in an assignment, you’re next going to be able to go through your same normal creation workflow, adding in context and directions for your AI teaching assistant to produce great feedback.

When you get to the end of the process and assign the work to a class, you’ll see a new window pop up:

This window will give you the option to share in two ways; first, you can share this assignment with students if you want to give the assignment using the Immediate AI Feedback process.

You can also create a share-able link for other teachers - just click generate, and then you can copy the link! Now you can share this whole assignment with your colleagues. Grading a large assignment on EnlightenAI can save many many hours of time, so this is an awesome gift to give! Look at you, being so generous…we love to see it.

Let’s flip around and look at this from the point of view of an educator who has received a link from someone else. First of all, they’ll probably jump for joy just thinking about all the time they’re about to save, and then they’ll probably jump for joy again when they think about the impact this is going to have for their students.

After they calm down, though, they can just paste that link into their browser, and this window will pop up for them:

They’ll have 4 options to choose from:

As you can see, you can choose to immediately use the assignment in EnlightenAI and have students write in our system, edit this assignment and make it your own, copy the work so that you can assign it in another system, or just save it for later.

Where can you save it, you ask?? You’ve probably already noticed, but you now have an assignment library! If decide to save the assignment for later, you’ll be directed back to the home screen. From there, you can click on the right side of the home screen and go to your Assignments Library:

We have a lot of new functionality and features coming on this feature, so we’ll keep this article updated as new tools are added!
